The old testament fascinates me. One thing that comes to mind is that the family relationships that are described are not perfect. They also happened a very long time ago and in a very different culture than we live in. So what are we suppose to learn from their lives? That probably depends upon who you are. I remembered hearing or reading about a story of Leah and Rachel in Jewish tradition. It was something about Rachel being kind to Leah before the wedding of Leah and Jacob.
