  1. I really enjoyed reading the Genesis Chapters, I read them out loud last night with some of the kids, (quentin was asleep) and it was nice to hear their questions and comments.
I was also pondering the importance of the Sabbath after reading the Luke chapters and I really need to "do good" on the Sabbath, and not just refrain from evil. After conference this weekend, and spending Sunday listening to the leaders, I KNOW I need to be better at this, As always this part of the Book of Mormon is my favorite, even the reading of the different cities made me take inventory on where I am in terms of being found in the rubble at the 2nd coming or standing at the temple. All in all I really enjoyed the passages.

  2. I liked your insights from the Luke and Nephi reading.

I am reading these faster than I usually study the scriptures. So I am just getting a general idea in my mind. As a family, we are reading the events of the week of Easter. So the Luke and the Nephi section made more of a impact on me. Each day, we read a section in the New Testament and do an Easter activity. Yesterday, Dylan chose to have secret pals. Today Sadie chose to reenact the parables of the 10 Virgins. We have read about the Triumphal entry and cleansing of the temple. I am trying to have this week dedicated to feeling or getting to know Christ better. And hopefully, giving the kids a sense of what Easter is about.

What is nice about doing a general reading especially on the events of Christ's mortal life is expanding a picture of Christ in my mind. It is helping me keep Christ and his love alive in my mind doing this week. Thank you!
