While I still don't comprehend giving the handmaiden to Abram, I have such compassion for Sarai and Hagar. I also love that the Lord knew Hagar, visited her when she was scared and alone and basically told her that her life would not be easy and that her son would be a menace, knowing this she did as she was commanded and submitted herself to Sarai, she kept the commandments knowing the outcome was not ideal. She's a strong example to all of us.
