  1. I wanted to comment so that Kareena knew that I was still participating and enjoying the challenge of reading all the gospels in a year :)

    Reading in Genesis 24 today....
What a powerful statement that Abraham made with how great the reward is for those that make the sacrifices and do the work to marry and live the eternal covenant marriage. It would have been so easy to find a "good" women for Issac to marry, but it was important that "He married the right person, and the right time, in the right place" so to speak.

How long has marriage in the covenant been a commandment of God? (It is an eternal ordinance that has been the Lord’s order in all ages when the fulness of the gospel has been on the earth. Adam and Eve were the first on this earth to enter into this ordinance.)

I certainly didn't understand all of this when I was 19 entering into these sacred covenants. Its one of the oldest, never changing laws that we have been commanded to live. Anyway, something that I was thinking about as I was reading tonight :)
